- Pencil sketch – generating a concept through the mind (EGO GUIDANCE):
An intention is born. An idea. A concept. I am still in my mind. I still think that I will create something.
But here the movement begins – preparing the field. It is like a seed that does not yet know that it will disappear to bear fruit.
- Ink consolidation – creating something permanent (EGO CONFIRMATION):
The lines gain strength, the personality begins to be “serious”.
Here is born I want, I create, I am the creator. - Applying paint with a palette knife – permission for change (EGO DISORIENTATION): The form created by the ego must be crossed, in a short moment, when applying oil paint with a palette knife. Imperfectly applied paint covers the black contours of the woven concept, which disorients the ego. It is like standing on the threshold of presence. This is a critical moment. This is a moment of lack of ego control and consent to enter authenticity. This is the gateway to INATION.
- Spatula, blade, stylus – remaining in delight (EGO DISSOLUTION):
The spatula blade cuts through the illusion of form.
This is an uncontrolled act. The body acts faster than the decision.
This is cutting the ego – dissolving the contour, rejecting the power of the mind. At the moment of ego disintegration, the artist becomes a transmitter of a field in which matter, thought and gesture are one. Here light appears, because form ceases to cover it. This is not destruction for the sake of effect – this is trust in what is greater than “I – ego”, this is the stage of merging with the authentic identity, with the true core. This is the stage called INATION, necessary for the emergence of ORAPISM.
- Rejection from the image – silence of presence (MERGE):
You cannot correct.
You cannot “go back and fix”.
Because what happened was real.
Any attempt at correction would be a return to control, to entering the illusion of the mind.
Here the artist becomes a witness — not a doer.
And then the painting begins to breathe on its own.
It is no longer a „work”.
It is a trace of the truth that passed through you.
And anyone who looks does not see the style —
sees the transition, sees the dissolution of form,
sees that light has not been added, therefore it is not an imitation of reality —
it was let in as a flash of reality.
Orapism is not creating a painting, but allowing the painting to be created through you.
It is an event of light that can only occur when you agree to the death of the concept. Lines, forms and colors „come” through the artist, who rejects control, abandons the plan, ceases to be the „author”. It is painting as an irrevocable life. It cannot be corrected. Unlike expressionism, which expresses emotion, orapism allows it to speak on its own – without the filter of aesthetics and concepts.
Because it is not the image that is supposed to be perfect.
You were supposed to be real.
When „You – the ego” are silent – it begins to speak what is real.
I leave it in silence, like a trace of putty on an undried background.
